- Snails and quail or chicken eggs
- Frozen-thawed rodents sparingly

- Daily rodents — obesity kills captive monitors

- Anything they can't swallow
Feeding is the hard part: keep them lean on insects with rodents as an occasional item. Deep diggable substrate matters as much as the intense basking heat.
